Symptoms Of Constipation

Sometimes its very easy to tell if you are constipated because you will have a very difficult time trying to release your bowels. Sometimes it can be a bit different and be kind of hard to tell, there are a couple of symptoms of chronic constipation that you can go by to tell if this is what you are actually dealing with. I know that it sounds like a silly thing to write about but I really do hope that this is helpful to somebody out there who does not know much about constipation. If this helps just one person then I will have done my job with this! Anyway here are some symptoms that you can check to tell.

Trouble Releasing Bowels
This is fairly easy but I want to make a quick paragraph about it because its important. If you are sitting on the toilet for over an hour you might be constipated. No you are constipated so make sure if you are having this then you know what to do next to make it easier.

Hard Or Small Stools
If you are actually getting some stools to release but they are very small and hard pellets then you might be constipated as well. This is something to look for as people will just think that its normal at first. This is a pretty good time to make the assumption that you are constipated.

Swollen Abdomen
If your stomach feels bloated or swollen you should get yourself checked out to see if you are dealing with chronic constipation. I have this problem almost once a month but have found some good methods to get rid of this. I would recommend that you see a doctor because they can help you out.

Vomiting
If you are vomiting long with a swollen abdomen and trouble releasing your bowels you can pretty much be sure that constipation is the culprit. Although it is very uncommon to have vomiting when you are constipated. It is possible and usually only occurs when you are dealing with a severe case. So If you have all of these symptoms and this one kicks in that is the most important time to get to a doctor as soon as possible.

Now that you know all of the symptoms of constipation you can finally know for sure that you are actually dealing with this problem. Make sure that you always visit your primary care physician for more questions or concerns about this problem. Constipation can be a very serious matter and if you leave it alone for too long can lead to some bad complications. In a case of an emergency please dial 911 if you ever have one.
